A varying excursion that leads to Croz dell'Altissimo and its refuge crossing a suggestive path among woods and rock, leaving from Pradel above Molveno.

From Molveno it takes you to Pradel (1320 m) with the “La Panoramica” gondola.
At the mountain station, turn left to the northwest, taking path 340 that enters a beautiful level segment in the woods, to then skirt the imposing walls of the Croz Altissimo. The path is now carved into the sheer rock above the Valle delle Seghe, but you proceed easily and safely with the metal cable railing. You will go through a tunnel and then, after a segment carved into the rock, you will start to climb to reach 1,430 m. Continue into the woods and in a few minutes you will come to the Croz dell'Altissimo Refuge (1h30 from Pradel) that is located under the high rock walls of the peak of the same name.
To return (after a well-deserved break at the Refuge), there are two possibilities:

• return along the same path using the gondola to return to Molveno
• immediately below the Croz dell'Altissimo Refuge you can take a dirt road (forest road no. 319), that quickly takes you down after crossing a characteristic bridge on Rio Massodi to then enter the woods to “Baita Ciclamino”. From here, keep to the left to follow the road that leads to Via Dolomiti (200 m down from the departure point of the “Panoramica” gondola). If you go right, the road leads to the sports field and the lake area.
